Can a stationary recumbent bike help me lose weight in all areas of my body?

12 Mar

I have back and knees problems and live in the hills. Floor exercise is painful and walking is too high impact for my bad knee. I am aquiring a stationary recumbent bike and am crossing my fingers that it will help with weight loss. My problem area is my stomach. I have about 25 pounds to lose. Thanks for your advice!

Yes, it will help you lose weight all over your body. Hear this; ‘there is no such thing as spot reduction!!’ Cardio exercise will help you generally lose fat all over your body, simultaneously. As long as you keep the reps up and the resistance as low as possible, (otherwise you’ll bulk up with muscle). Make sure you’re heavy breathing at a rate where can still talk but you find it uncomfortable to talk. Good luck.
