Hello everyone, yes, I realize I’m overweight. However, I’m sick of being fat, and would like to look and feel my best. I’ve had too many years of low self-esteem. I own a recumbent bicycle, as well as aerobic/pilates/yoga DVDs. What would be a good exercise routine (amount, etc) and diet for someone with flabby abs and developing cellulite? I’m tired of my out of shape body. I’d like to lose 50 lbs in 6 months or less, is this possible?!? Thanks to everyone!
I’m a 22 yr old female who weighs 180, and is 5′5. What would I need to do in order to lost 50 lbs?

eat less, do more. try walking a half mile a day until your committed to it, then increase to one mile.
exercise (movement) should be interesting and fun.
50 in 6 months may be a lot to ask yourself, maybe 25 to start.

You have to do cardio. Gyms offer classes like step and flex with weights. You will have to eat less carbohydrates and less fats. And, definately no box food.

umm have you ever watched the biggest loser if so get some tips from those two trainers they know alot, also a good routine for you would be buying P90X that is a great workout, u might think you can do it right away but the longer you stick with it the longer you keep going the better it gets. you get out what you put in. But just look into those two things. also start your goals small, go in steps, start with like 3-5 lbs a week, then increase it, that will help you get less discouraged. the smaller the goal the better you see results and the more you will keep working

It’s so awesome that you own a recumbent bike! I wish I owned one. I have to go to they gym everyday to use one. I love that bike, if you ride it for an hour (90 minutes is even better) it’s a great workout. Do it 5 or 6 days a week. Also, follow your dvds! They can help you if you stay consistent. Don’t stop your routines, you must keep at it! Just put on some good music or the tv and pedal. I always feel the pain in my thighs and rear! Keep at it!

well, the safest and healthiest weight loss would be 1-2lbs a week, so to safely accomplish this it may take a little longer than 6 months. Obviously you know that the beginning of everything would be to have your diet under control, with out your diet straightened out you wont get much done.
once you have your diet organized add some good cardio to get you pumped up 20 minutes should be perfect then do some strength and muscle training anywhere for 20-40 minutes should do. 3-5 times a week. make sure to get enough sleep too, your body needs to be rested to preform correctly.
Drink tons of water! i cant stress that enough, if your a soda drinker just switching to water only will take a few pounds off, try a glass of green tea a day, no sugar no honey. Im right there with ya and believe me its easier said than done, im 5′ 0 and 140 just had my baby 4 months ago, its no over night process. but good luck.
