I am hoping someone makes one for 500-1000 bucks. I listed this question before and didn’t get any responses – it was deleted because I asked about an “adult” trike! Yahoo censorship rocks!
Can you use an FSA to purchase exercise equipment if your Dr. recommends for treatment of a disease?

Has anyone successfully used their FSA account to pay for a piece of exercise equipment in order to treat a diagnosed condition?
For example- if a patient has degenerative disk disease, and the doctor tells them to ride a recumbent bicycle because it will be better for their back than an upright, can the patient pay for the recumbent out of their FSA, or be reimbursed by the FSA?
Again, this is a reccomended threatment for a specific disease, degenerative disk disease, not for general health or fitness.
